Plain language. This covers the marline.dev website and waitlist, before the product launches.

Effective October 2026

Who we are

This site, marline.dev, is run by Joel Mayer, an individual based in Brooklyn, New York. Marline is not incorporated. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Joel Mayer, who runs Marline.

What we collect

Only what you send us, plus the standard logs that come with hosting a website.

  • When you join the waitlist or write to us, we get what you send: your email address and anything you include, such as your store's name, the channels you sell on, and your message. The waitlist form opens your email app, so nothing is sent until you press send.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts this site, processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

The demos on this site run in your browser, with one exception: the listing fixer’s “Rewrite live with Claude Haiku” button. When live rewriting is switched on and you press it, the product title in the box is sent through this site to Anthropic’s API, which drafts the rewrites and sends them back. Only that title is sent, and we don’t store it. To limit use, the site counts live requests per IP address; those counts expire within a day.

What we don't do

  • We don't run analytics or ad trackers on this site, and our code sets no cookies.
  • We don't sell your information, or share it with anyone for their advertising.
  • We don't add you to anyone else's mailing list.

How we use what you send

  • To reply to you.
  • To tell you when Marline opens access, if you joined the waitlist.
  • To talk with you about becoming a design partner, if you asked.

Who else handles it

Cloudflare hosts this site and routes email sent to our address to the founder’s inbox. Your own email provider handles the messages you send. If you use the listing fixer’s live rewrite, Anthropic processes the title you sent, under its own terms, to draft the rewrites. We don’t use any other service to process what you send us.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist emails and conversations until you ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them to contact you about Marline. Hosting logs are kept by Cloudflare under its own retention periods.

Your choices

You can ask to see what we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email founders@marline.dev and we’ll confirm when it’s done. To leave the waitlist, reply to any message from us and say so.

Children

This site is for businesses and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

When Marline launches, this policy will change to cover the product. We’ll update this page and its effective date, and tell waitlist members about material changes by email.
